Welcome to Aprinia – a platform honoring humanity’s first principles and their source.
The dawn of our morning arrives from a light source that existed long before now. Likewise, the goodness and dignity of principle has been intrinsic in human makeup since the origins of our time on Earth.
There is both a need and an opportunity to benefit ourselves, our loved ones, and our societies by acknowledging this implanted light and by welcoming a restoration of simple goodness through its applications.
Wisdom advises us that clean air and pure water are essential for life. Aprinia promotes the understanding that timeless human values—our First Principles—are also essential for a prosperous and fulfilling life.

“Travels and forays into diverse places and differing cultures have been deliberate, purposeful, and rewarding on many levels. A major highlight has been learning by experience that people, sans labels, are much the same everywhere.” – Greg Lawson
Aprinia chooses to promote beneficial historic values. Some of our most essential values are being slowly buried beneath a mountain of human mandates. Additionally, we are now seeing the increased prominence of machine dictates, which will, by some human intent, initially be a soft remaking of our wills and capacities through machine influence.
Much in the way of thoughtful human law represents a treasured legacy of order, and has been skillfully crafted to preserve our safety, our dignity, and even our foundational principles and inherent rights.
If you choose, please add your voice to a chorus that honors our shared human history, that celebrates our common humanity, and recognizes that, at the round table of reason, tolerance can replace division, and understanding can mitigate fear.
This is accomplished as a living experience, filling a critical need with a purposeful mission – to lift up the timeless principles that make us human, and to give them renewed honor now.
Join with Aprinia. Stand with us. Speak with us. Together, being a unified voice that ensures honor, dignity, fairness, justice, and equity are not only verbalized but are vitalized.
First Principles are as a living golden thread woven throughout the fabric of humanity in every place, and in all of time. How can we honor them without honoring the source of light and love?
Honor the source: What is the source of light and love? of goodness and opportunity?
What is the source of life, light, and love?
This question has inspired—and at times confounded—human inquiry for as long as it has been asked. Many traditions, philosophies, and belief systems offer answers with confidence, yet no single explanation has been universally accepted by humankind.
If archaeologists discover a prehistoric cave containing paintings on its walls or tools fashioned for practical use, such findings are readily recognized as evidence of purposeful intelligence and design.
Likewise, when we observe the Earth—and even the small portion of the universe available to our view—we encounter extraordinary order, beauty, and complexity. To many, such harmony reasonably suggests the presence of an intelligent and capable source.
Over time, countless stories, beliefs, and theories have attempted to explain this source. Yet, to be redundant, no evidence has emerged that satisfies all human inquiry equally.
Perhaps this great creative intelligence chooses to remain partially veiled in mystery. From our perspective, why not allow room for this mystery? Let each person and culture believe, question, or disbelieve according to their own curated or adopted understanding, until such time that clearer evidence may emerge for the benefit of all.
Meanwhile, humankind is richly endowed with a set of values that support and elevate life on Earth. Wherever compassion, fairness, integrity, goodness, and care are found in action, they stand as a living testimony to something worthy of honor. Rather than engaging in ideological contests that deepen rivalry and division, we are better served to recognize and honor goodness wherever it appears. In doing so, we will also honor its source.
Such uplifting qualities as those mentioned above are found to be active among people of faith and among those without religious belief. They appear among creationists and secular thinkers, among deists and atheists, within religious communities and beyond them, and in the quiet actions of independent individuals everywhere.
Perhaps it is the living expression of light, love, and goodness that speaks most clearly on behalf of that greater source. In time, a fuller understanding will reveal itself. When that proves to be the will and intention of such greatness that exists beyond our comprehension, we may perhaps realize that one of the theories espoused was closer to the truth.

“Do the Right Thing” is a maxim finding representation in every language and culture on Earth. We have the capacity for realizing a path to an engaging answer to that challenge through a streaming gift to our humanity – one that we recognize as a ready set of values or principles.
When we choose to exhibit such qualities as compassion, integrity, fairness, stewardship, goodness, and equity, for example, we are employing inherent, enriching values that are markers of our human identity.
Through universal human distribution, these inherent principles are superior tools for the management of human affairs, inter-creature affairs, and the management of matters associated with overseeing our planet Earth’s best interests.
Within the social circle of humanity, we need to maintain the capacity for allowing many different persuasions, even antithetical ones, to coexist. First Principles provide valuable tools for all who will gather at the round table of reason.

In the struggle to manage the affairs of societies and entities, humans have discovered the introduction of human code as an expedient means of accomplishment.
While some codes, or laws, are built on a foundation that recognizes inherent principles, these are crafted from human intellect and generally have a specific purpose.
Human law is both valid and valuable. Two advantages of elevating our first principles, however, are that these will, in general, find a universal acceptance. and that they do not need a detached enforcement mechanism.
While the best of human law will be based on a foundation of principle, a kind of natural law, there are distinguishing differences between human law and original principles, worth noting:
– Human law can be tarnished or abused.
First Principles will not be.
– Human-instituted code might have a narrow or manipulative motive.
First Principles will not.
– Human law can have a menacing edge.
First Principles will not.

Aprinia was formed over a decade ago to promote the set of human values, or First Principles, that we hold in common with all others of our kind. Aprinia does not have a specific agenda or seek a specific conclusion beyond promoting these values, which, once exposed, reflect a powerful and reliable energy source capable of aiding in the mitigation of strife and discord often associated with polarized human cultural spaces.
Aprinia is engaged in an awareness campaign to promote the use of First Principles as a reliable first line of action in human dealings. It is not engaged in an individualism versus communitarianism debate, but recognizes and advocates that the best solution is generally found in serving the common good.
Please support this purposeful effort by contributing any amount to our mission.

“Sometimes I feel like the breeze that flows, because, like it, I am at home in many places. I have no fixed identity with specific social spaces that our many cousins have created and occupy. It is the goodness of nature that I espouse, and the human qualities found working in behalf of our collective benefit that I revere.
“I choose to honor and dignify individuality and the sacredness of your life. My work exemplifies love, principle, and a recognition of the whole person, the physical and the non-physical being.
“I relish the inherent freedoms that we each have received to think and to act as individuals, or if we choose, as insulated groups. I am an advocate of peaceful solutions delivered on the wings of love and practical wisdom.”

Greg Lawson is an independent naturalist, ponderer, artist, writer, and speaker, embracing freedom, education, first principles, and their source, along with nature’s rightful conservation. His image-based published art, created from a thousand earthly sojourns, includes people, places, wildlife, and abstractions from the global field. It is collected worldwide and has been dispersed for more than 50 years. He has also published more than fifty books and magazines themed in arts and philosophy.

The arctic tern embraces the planet. It flies from its point of origin in the Arctic, all the way to the continent of Antarctica. Throughout its life, it makes this incredible journey several times. It crosses myriad claimed spaces and numerous national boundaries, but it takes no note of them, and they take no note of it. I photographed the lovely tern lifting into the sky while in Antarctica.
This remarkable medium-sized bird is a fitting symbol of the ideal recognition that Earth is our home. All of it. We are born here, and we will die here. We will, even if unwittingly, support all of it throughout our entire journey.
Of course, entities have created boundaries, and these need to be respected to support order and dignity among civilized people everywhere. But at least in spirit, many can attain the sense of belonging in a oneness with the living planet,
