A Heartfelt Welcome to You
My name is Greg Lawson. I am a naturalist, an artist, a thinker, and a lover of our human privileges on this beautiful planet, Earth.
In a nutshell, I have been on a sixty-five-year odyssey, a love affair with our planet, its people, and its creatures – and, oh, the things I’ve seen and tasted! I have learned from human experience that despite the competitive social thrusts the world over, people are pretty much the same everywhere, differing primarily by philosophical ideologies imposed on them. Throughout this odyssey, I have been an advocate for peaceful coexistence and harmony among the diverse and rich threads that comprise the tapestry of our civilizations.
When we’re born anywhere on Earth, we are naturally subjected to a system or local culture. In such spaces, we are influenced toward concentrated social mores and standards as we are nurtured along the path of life. A consequence, however, is that we can lose sight of our oneness with the planet and our greater human connection. The further we are from that oneness, the more we can lose compatibility with each other, putting ourselves and our planet at risk.
Aprinia was launched as a resource to rekindle specific light that has been dimmed beneath many, often well-meaning, cultural overlays. Aprinia is an acronym for: A Principles International Accord. The mission here is to promote humanity’s First Principles. There are no ambitions to promote specific or branded religious, political, or social ideals beyond harmonious coexistence. Ours is a universal mission to promote the freedom delivered to each person to make a personal choice in such matters, not to judge them for doing so in peace.
In the same way that we recognize the need for good water, clean air, and adequate sleep as essentials for sustaining a satisfying life, we can find comfort in the basic understanding that humanity has inherently received capacities for self and/or collective governance that, when employed, can benefit our entire global atmosphere..
Our First Principles are the common human values that are shared by all, and that can help us make wise choices about electives in many situations. It is a rich legacy embedded within our being and expressed universally among humankind.
Embedded natural values, or first principles, are as free as the rain, as the sun, or as the oxygen we breathe, and they are just as vital for our well-being.
Aprinia’s purpose is to promote these gifts and remind all that we can call upon them in many situations to help mitigate strife or restore balance and a sense of peace to ourselves and to the entire community of earthly contemporaries.
Aprinia, and its mission to propagate this message of actionable good, is simple. It is as simple to understand as the promotion of good air, water, and sleep. We can’t afford to leave anyone uninformed as to its value. We need help disseminating this message locally, nationally, and globally. In this regard, we are involved in a campaign to encourage principles awareness to be taught society-wide.
