People naturally have feelings on every subject. And, they are naturally seeking support for their ideals. Many will be easily influenced by the magnetism of social popularity and move into camps that seem so distant from each other that they are metaphorically referenced as ‘polar’ opposites, like the north versus south poles of the planet.
Notably, Earth’s equator does not disavow the poles, but it occupies a unique position on the planet, the same as they do.. It is not a neutral position, but a unique one. This model can metaphorically represent human responses to social positioning, too. It is not a recommendation for maintaining a ‘neutral’ position, for an active mind and spirit is not going to be neutral. By purposefully choosing to avoid engaging with polarized actions, and in order to have a universal freedom of speech, some will choose such an equatorial posture, sensing that it may be in the best interests of humanity at large.
Figuratively, an equatorial position invites peace through tolerance and allowance. Time has demonstrated that many social models are functional, and also that each model can be improved. However, the welcoming intent of life is to bring a measure of responsible joy to each receiver of the gift. The further we drift from an equatorial position, the more difficult life becomes for many creatures.
People are found identifying with many political, religious, corporate, or social persuasions, and in those spaces are manifesting goodness, strength, and decency. They may find themselves in organized structures that persuade them to act in roles that identify with a particular ideal, and to socially react with a community spirit, as it were, but it should be acknowledged that these same people also live on a higher plane in their inner person..
